Illinois Art Therapy Practice Inquiry Survey

Dear Colleague,

My name is Madeline William. I am a clinical psychology and art therapy student at the Adler School of Professional Psychology (ASPP) and a member of the Illinois Art Therapy Association (IATA). I have been working with the board of IATA to construct this Illinois Art Therapy Practice Inquiry survey.

The purpose of this survey is to gain a better understanding how art therapists practice. Answering this broad research question involves obtaining information from art therapists, such as yourself, regarding the nature of their art therapy practice. Participants in this study were selected because they are current or previous members of the IATA, or because they are alumni of the art therapy masters program at the Adler School of Professional Psychology, Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville, or the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Participating in this study will benefit the field of art therapy, both for fellow art therapists and those outside the art therapy community. This research is being conducted on the behalf of the Illinois Art Therapy Association, with grant funding from the American Art Therapy Association’s Governmental Affairs Committee.

The link below is to this survey. By clicking on the link to this survey (https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/IATPI), you will be giving your consent for participation in this study. This survey contains 27 questions, and should take approximately 20-45 minutes to complete. Your participation in the survey will be completely anonymous.
