Integration Art Show Opens at Project Onward

Project Onward celebrates Spring with the opening of two new shows dedicated to exploring the connections between art and mental health. The first, Integration Art, focuses on art therapy and the second, Face to Face, launches a series of autism awareness exhibits and events lasting through May.

Join us for a FREE evening of drinks and light refreshments on 3rd Friday.

In the Main Gallery, explore the striking art produced through a new art therapy technique pioneered by Project Onward Studio Facilitator and Master of Art Therapy Candidate Ernesto Atkinson with several Project Onward artists. Integration Art: A New Approach to Art Therapy will only run through March 27–don't miss this unique chance to witness a therapeutic conversation presented visually.Friday, March 21, 20146:00pm until 9:00pm
Also opening tonight, in the Spotlight Gallery, Face to Face: Spotlight on Portraits will kick-off Project Onward's series of events built around World Autism Awareness Day on April 2. This exhibit will encourage you to question how you see autism and those affected by it through a presentation of portraits whose production challenged Project Onward's artists and artistic staff to the same.

This event will take place during the Bridgeport Art Center's monthly 3rd Friday Open Studio Night, offering you the chance to visit the many other studios, shops and galleries in the building.
