Group: Art Therapy Studio Chicago
ATSC has a new Children and Teen Art Therapy Group.
This group will address different life issues such as anxiety, depression, bullying, grief, self-esteem, and topics suggested by the group members. The individuals will use art therapy as a positive way to explore and develop the use of positive coping skills while giving and receiving peer support. This group will teach participants mindfulness, skills for building resiliency, emotion regulation, and strategies to reduce negative thinking and destructive behaviors. Participants will develop the tools effective for managing their problems and relationships.
*All participants will be encouraged to bring a drawing/journal to each session. All art making materials will be included. No previous art making experience needed.Group will run with minimum 5 people enrolled.
$40 Per “drop in” session
$150 For 5 sessions
Group will meet bi-monthly, every other Sunday. Beginning November 13th
*Group schedule during holiday season will be provided to participants.Facilitated by Jackie Carmody ATR, LCPC
